Bawang Assan rep praises insurance fraternity for honourable services

SIBU (Oct 20): The insurance fraternity has been praised for conducting honourable services, bringing protection to the doorsteps of the public.

In this regard, Bawang Assan assemblyman Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh said in today’s world, uncertainty is an all-encompassing characteristic of life.

“A fortuitous occurrence of any misfortune can prove catastrophic, not only to oneself but also to one’s loved ones.

“The invention of life insurance offers the necessary protection against any misfortunes or unforeseen calamities.

“Therefore, insurance agents are noble people carrying out honourable jobs to bring much needed protection to members of the public,” said Soon Koh.

He said this when speaking at the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors Sibu branch’s ‘21st Akard Award Presentation Night’, held at a leading hotel here on Friday.

Among those present were the association’s national president Krishnan Appanu, who was the evening’s guest-of-honour, and organising chairman Wong Soong Seng.

In his speech, Soon Koh also congratulated those recognised for their achievements in their respective vocations.

“The award recipients are the ones who have successfully met the scrutiny of the authorities, as well as the increasing demand of sophisticated consumerism.

“You are indeed making valuable contribution towards the welfare and betterment of our community,” he said.

Meanwhile, Krishnan said the Akard award serves as a reminder of the dedication and passion required to excel in the insurance industry.

Moreover, he pointed out that the success of the association’s Sibu branch is a reflection of their unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of the insurance industry.

“Their exceptional performance not only highlights individual accomplishments but also represents the collective progress that drives our organisation forward.”
