Bintulu Port’s Q2 2024 financial report

BINTULU: Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (Bintulu Port or the “Group”) announced its financial results for the second quarter (Q2) of 2024, revealing a significant increase in its operating revenue.

According to Bintulu Port’s statement, operating revenue increased by 11.67% to RM196.90 million, compared to RM176.32 million in the same period last year.

“The Group’s profit before tax surged by 84.1% to RM52.59 million, while after-tax profit rose to RM39.85 million, resulting in higher earnings per share of 8.66 sen against 5.16 sen, as recorded in Q2 2023.

“Bintulu Port also announced a second interim single-tier dividend of 4.00 sen per share, payable on October 8 this year,” it stated.

The handling of LNG cargo remains Bintulu Port’s primary revenue contributor, supported by the revenue growth from Base Support activities and Samalaju cargoes.

Furthermore, the group will begin handling marine services for Petchem Methanol in the second half of this year.
