KUCHING: Members of the public are urged to donate blood at Plaza Merdeka this Saturday (Oct 17) to help prevent shortages at Sarawak General Hospital.
Organised by the Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Branch, the campaign will run from 10am to 2pm to support the hospital’s blood bank in maintaining a stable supply for patients.
In a statement, the organiser said the campaign aimed to encourage more people to come forward, particularly when demand for blood is high.
“Every contribution plays a vital role in saving lives and supporting medical treatments,” it said.
Healthy individuals aged 18 and above are welcome to participate, with prospective donors advised to have a light meal beforehand and bring their identification documents.
Goodie bags will be given to all successful donors as a token of appreciation, while enquiries can be directed to 019-8182244.
