During a press conference held at the MBKS headquarters today, MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng announced that the council fully supports the programme and welcomes all yoga practitioners in Kuching to participate in the event.

“BKF emphasises that the theme ‘Yoga at Home, Yoga with the World’ aims to transform yoga into a global movement focused on family well-being, promoting global health, and fostering world peace,” said Wee.

BKF Head of Centre Management Department Perumala Kandan added that the yoga session will be led by Maryam Evetovics, a senior qualified yoga instructor, who will teach various yoga postures (asanas) and breathing techniques.

“In addition to the yoga session, we will have a Wushu performance by the Elite Wushu Club, and I will be leading a meditation session,” Kandan shared.
