Central Awang welcomed the visit of PDRM's Managing Director

KUCHING, 18 September: Deputy Prime Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan received an honorable visit from the Managing Director of PDRM to embrace Sarawak Police Commissioner, Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah here today.

The visit was held ahead of Mohamad Zainal's recent move to Aman Hill following his appointment to the new post.

His appointment was announced by the PDRM on 15 September last, replacing Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid who has now been appointed as Deputy Chief of National Police.

Mohamad Zainal has been in charge of the Sarawak Police contingent since 26 September 2025 after replacing retired Dato Mancha Ata.

During his tenure as PDRM Sarawak, he established close cooperation with the state leadership especially in security, crime and improvement of police facilities in Sarawak.
