KUCHING (July 30): International floating bookfair Doulos Hope is set to open its doors to the public at Kuching Port Authority in Pending here from Friday (Aug 2).
According to the ship’s schedule, it will be open until Aug 28.
It will offer visitors over 2,000 book titles spanning a wide range of subjects including science, medicine, arts, languages, faith, hobbies, cooking, and sports.
“With a variety of children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries, and atlases, the bookfair promises to be a delightful experience for the whole family.
“Many residents will recall the visit of Doulos Hope’s sister ship, Logos Hope, in April 2015. This upcoming visit is expected to attract a large number of visitors, eager to explore the extensive collection of books at affordable prices.
“The bookfair will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 2pm and 9pm, with the last entry at 8.30pm. It will be closed on Mondays,” said a statement by Doulos Hope today.
The statement added children under 12 and seniors over 65 can enjoy free entry, but will still need to book a ticket.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and require their own tickets.
For all other visitors, the entrance fee is RM2, payable in cash at the entrance.
