Driver, passenger escape unharmed in car crash

SERIAN: A driver and his passenger managed to escape unscathed after their car skidded and crashed at Mile 32, Jalan Kuching-Serian last night (July 29).

Firefighters from Serian station were dispatched to the scene, about 12 km away, after receiving a distress call at 7.44 pm.

Upon arrival, the team confirmed that a Proton Saga FLX had crashed into a drain.

A 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman managed to exit the vehicle on their own. Both of them escaped without sustaining any injuries.

No rescue operation was needed as the team only helped to disconnect the car battery.
