KUCHING (July 13): The second day of the Maal Hijrah Festival (FMH) 2024 continued with a series of exciting events and the eagerly anticipated Rahmah Sales at the Sarawak State Mosque grounds here today.

The day commenced with the Hijrah Charity Run at 7am, followed by a children’s push bike competition, street soccer, remote control crawler competition, and silat competition, all of which began simultaneously at 8am.

Additional activities included an esports competition featuring PUBG and FIFA, a traditional archery competition, and paintball competition.

The Rahmah Sales, which took place in the grounds of the State Mosque starting at 9am, offered daily necessities at discounted prices. Items available included chicken, fish, eggs, bottled cooking oil, wheat flour, rice, vegetables, fruits, and more.

The Rahmah Sales, held over two days until tomorrow, is organised in collaboration between the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) and FMH 2024’s State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS).

Additionally, the programme featured the distribution of Bakul Rahmah donations to five recipients from the B40 group.

Other attractions included a high-powered motorcycle exhibition, the Gema Haflah (celebration or gathering) event, a children’s Azan (prayer) competition, and exhibitions by the military and uniformed bodies.

There were also health programmes, an education fair, and informational kiosks from public and private agencies.

At 2pm, a children’s fashion competition showcased a variety of interesting outfits, followed by the Malam Cinta Rasul event at 8pm.
