KUCHING: More than 160 booths have been set up at the Petra Jaya State mosque (Masjid Jamek Sarawak) for the Maal Hijrah Festival (1446H/2024) starting today (12 July) until 14 July.
The main attraction of the event is undoubtedly the food and drink stalls, featuring wide varieties from 64 vendors. This event is organised by Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS).
Another element that sparks attention will be the 15 “car boot” sales and 32 booths selling an array of items, including clothing, accessories, fragrances, the popular Jualan Rahman and many more.
Additionally, visitors can also opt to check out a total of 52 exhibitions displayed by higher education institutions, government agencies, health agencies, and other exhibitors from government and private companies.
Besides that, performances such as Malam Cinta Rasul and Gema Haflah will also be presented.
The press statement also said that various competitions would be held to attract younger participants, like berzanji, marhaban, football, silat, and others.
Participants will have the chance to win exciting prizes in lucky draws throughout the event.
The grand prize will be an Umrah package, which awaits two lucky winners. Other prizes include electrical appliances, motorcycles, massage chairs, and more.
