KUCHING: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Sarawak yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Sarawak Tribune (ST) and Suara Sarawak to discuss a new collaboration.
EPF Sarawak regional director Aminuddin Abdul Aziz said the primary objective of the partnership is to introduce a weekly editorial column in both newspapers.
“This column aims to increase awareness about EPF’s services and mandate.
“We also aim to introduce the options and details of our offerings, and the diversification of our new trending offerings that suit the people.
“This initiative is intended to help raise awareness about the benefits and advantages of being an EPF member, especially to those who have yet to register with the us,” he said during the courtesy visit.
He was accompanied by deputy regional director Chia SweeChoo, regional operational excellence deputy manager Nabila Hana Morshidi and head of shared services section Zaifa RaziyaAmir.
Meanwhile, chief executive officer of the two papers Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir highlighted that the collaboration would focus on disseminating comprehensive information on various important issues related to contributions and the management of KWSP Accounts 1, 2, and 3.
Additionally, this collaboration is expected to open up more opportunities to hold financial education and awareness programmes for the public.
“Through articles, reports, and special programmes that will be published, we can educate the public about the importance of financial planning and understanding the products and service offered by the EPF.
“This aligns with EPF’s goal of ensuring that each member has sufficient knowledge to manage their savings more effectively,” he said.
Dr Jeniri added that the collaboration also facilitates the exchange of constructive ideas and perspectives between both parties. This ensures that every piece of information delivered to the public is factual and beneficial.
Also present were ST editor-in-chief Aden Nagrace and senior manager of corporate business division Dorge Rajah and SuaraSarawak executive editor Rohana Wahed.
