Fire almost destroys longhouse at Jln Tebakang

SERIAN (July 13): A double-storey eight-door longhouse was almost destroyed in a fire that broke out at Kampung Krusen Siu, Jalan Tebakang here today.

A spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a call regarding the incident was received at 12.04pm.

Two teams from the Serian and Siburan fire stations were despatched to the scene.

“The incident involved one block of a double-storey eight-door longhouse, which was almost 80 per cent destroyed.

“The fire has been brought under control, and the teams are still extinguishing the fires,” he said.

No victims were reported at the scene.
