Fire destroys motorcycle parked outside house

KUCHING: A motorcycle parked in front of a house at Lorong 4A1, Tabuan Laru Estate, was destroyed in a fire last night (Sept 23).

Firefighters from Tabuan Jaya station was deployed to the scene, about 4km away, after receiving a distress call at 8.46 pm.

Upon arrival, no operation was necessary as the homeowner had already extinguished the fire using water from a hose.

The team monitored the situation to ensure there was no risk of reignition.

It was reported that the motorcycle was 80 per cent destroyed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
