The bedroom that is completely destroyed during the fire.
KUCHING (July 15): The bedroom of a two-storey house at Taman Impiana, Jalan Kuap here was totally destroyed in a fire this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a call on the incident was received at 10.16am and firefighters from Siburan as well as Kota Samarahan fire stations were despatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival, it was found that the fire involved a bedroom, which was 100 per cent destroyed,” he said in a statement.
Bomba said the firefighters proceeded to extinguish the fire and managed to put it under control at around 10.40am.
It added that no injuries were reported during the incident.
After ensuring the situation was safe, the firefighters ended the operation at 11.33am.
