MIRI (Oct 16): Lutong fire station personnel caught a 10-foot-long python at a house in Kampung Tudan early today.

Lutong fire station chief Henry Jugah said they received a call for help from the homeowner at 1.10am.

“Upon receiving the call, a team of three personnel was despatched to the location. When they arrived, they immediately met with the owner.

“The owner related that she had spotted a python in her house compound and needed assistance to catch it,” he said in a statement.

He added that the personnel then proceeded to search for the reptile.

“The team found the python – about 10-foot-long – and estimated to weigh around 20kg in the house’s compound,” he said.

Henry said the team took about 30 minutes to capture the reptile.

“After catching it, they released the python back into its habitat,” he added.
