Firemen capture three-metre-long cobra at house in Marudi

MIRI (July 29): Personnel from Marudi fire station were summoned to catch a three-metre-long cobra at a house in Rumah Sumbang Stapang E, Marudi earlier today.

In a statement, Marudi fire station said a team of three personnel was despatched to the house after receiving a call from the house owner at 6.54am.

“After doing size up at the location, the team discovered a black-coloured cobra measuring three-metre-long underneath a chair in the complainants’ living room,” it added.

It said the team successfully captured the reptile before releasing it back into its natural habitat.

The operation ended at 8.02am.
