Foo Clan Association’s gathering boosts clan ties

KUCHING: The Foo Clan Association of Kuching, Sarawak strengthened clan ties and promoted cultural heritage through its Mid-Autumn Gathering and Autumn Ancestor Worship Ceremony held here on Sunday.

The event brought members together to honour their ancestors, uphold traditional values and strengthen unity and fellowship within the clan.

Held at the association hall, the Autumn Ancestor Worship Ceremony also provided an opportunity for members to preserve traditional practices and pass on cultural values to the younger generation.

The gathering also featured the presentation of Academic Excellence Awards to children of association members in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.

The association said the awards acknowledged the students’ hard work and dedication while encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in their studies.

It said education played an important role in nurturing the next generation, with the awards aimed at encouraging members’ children to pursue continuous learning, personal growth and a strong sense of responsibility.

The association also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting its members and younger generation through initiatives that promote unity, preserve cultural heritage and pass on positive family values.

It expressed appreciation to all members for their participation, support and cooperation in making the gathering a success.
