Free HPV vaccination programme at UTS this weekend

SIBU (Sept 26): A free human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV) programme will take place this weekend at the campus of University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) here.

The event, running from 9am to 3.30pm on both days, is organised by Pelawan Service Centre, according to a statement.

A total of 2,000 doses of the HPV will be provided to men and women aged between 13 and 26 on a first-come first-serve basis.

For those aged over 26 years, healthcare personnel reserve the right to determine their eligibility to receive the vaccine.

Pregnant women and patients undergoing cancer treatment are not eligible for the vaccination.
