SIBU: Residents are invited to join the “One-Day Sibu Health Day: Kidney Awareness” event organised by the Sibu Kidney Foundation (SKF) in collaboration with the Centre for Research of Innovation and Sustainable Development (CRISD).
“This programme aims to raise awareness about the importance of kidney health and provide the local community with free health consultations and screenings,” said SKF in a statement.
The event, which takes place on Oct 8 from 8.00 am to 11.00 am at the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) Academic Resource Centre/Library, features a “Care for Your Kidney” talk scheduled for 8.30 am.
Additionally, blood tests for general health, glucose, and cholesterol levels will be offered.
“The first 100 participants who register online will receive free glucose and cholesterol tests,” it added.
“Priority will be given to members of the public aged 50 and above.”
The organisers encourage early arrival to collect vouchers for the free glucose and cholesterol tests, available until 9.30 am.
