Fun Ride in conjunction with Sarawak Day celebration

KUCHING: In conjunction with the Sarawak Day celebration, Fun Ride, a leisurely cycling activity, is set to be held on July 22.

The activity is expected to start as early as 6am for registration, with the event commencing from Dewan Suarah Bintulu, where participants will participate on a 15km ride.

According to Sarawak Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, the event can enhance the productivity and quality of life of participants from various community segments.

“The significance of Fun Ride to me is that it will foster a culture of community engagement in recreation and sports.

“And this will certainly cultivate a spirit of unity and togetherness among all participants, highlighting the spirit of multi-ethnic interaction present in Sarawak.”

He said this during an interview on ‘Juh Randau,’ produced by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) at the Ukas Studio on Wednesday (July 17).

Meanwhile, Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, who is also the minister responsible for the Sarawak Day 2024 do, is expected to officiate the flag-off ceremony of the Fun Ride.
