KUCHING (July 17): German-based pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim has prepared 2,000 doses of anti-rabies vaccine for its upcoming vaccination campaign in Sarawak.
In a statement, the company said it is collaborating with local health authorities to organise the campaign for the second year in a row.
This year, the campaign will be held on July 27 and 28 from 8am to 3pm at Balai Raya Tondong in Bau, Dewan Serbaguna SJK Chung Hua in Serian, and Dewan Perpaduan Stakan Taman Samarindah in Kota Samarahan.
Boehringer Ingelheim said 600 doses have been allocated to Bau and Serian each while the remaining 800 doses would be for Kota Samarahan.
“Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to ensure the wellbeing of your beloved pets with free rabies vaccinations.
“Join us to safeguard the health of your dogs and cats and contribute to a rabies-free environment.
“Bring your pets and take advantage of this vital health service,” said the company, adding that the anti-rabies vaccination for the pet dogs and cats would be free.
Apart from the vaccination, licensing and microchipping services would also be provided.
Pet owners will also get a chance to grab a free bandana each for their pets upon completion of their rabies vaccination.
There will also be educational booths and rabies awareness leaflets to be distributed at the events.
