LIMBANG, 14 September: Deputy Health Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib continued the Fourth Series of Borneo Health Expedition (JKB) in the Balanced Division yesterday.
His presence saw delegations from the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Sarawak State Department of Health (JKNS) continue their travel agenda to review the situation and needs of health facilities in the area.
Hanifah also attended the dinner organized by the Balance Division Health Bureau (BHK) in connection with the presence of KKM and JKNS delegation in Limbang.
The council is a platform for strengthening the links between the highest leadership of SMEs with healthcare citizens in the field, as well as appreciating their commitment to ensuring that health services continue to be effectively delivered to the people.
Throughout JKB Series 4 in the Balanced Division, Hanifah was scheduled to attend the Conclusion Council of the Old Hospital Ready Project as well as make work visits to several health facilities.
Among the facilities to be visited are Health Clinic (KK) Trusan, KK Lawas and KK Nanga Medamit.
He was also scheduled to review the new site proposal for Nanga Medamit KK construction as part of the work visit agenda.
Hanifah-inspired JKB is an important platform to get a real picture of the state of health facilities and hear for yourself the challenges facing healthcare citizens in the field.
The approach also enables SMEs, JKNS and related parties to identify the needs as well as formulate immediate, practical and sustainable solutions to ensure that health services continue to meet people's needs.
