KUCHING (Oct 4): Icom Square, in collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak, successfully organised a fire safety training for its owners and tenants last Wednesday.

Held within the Icom Square compound, the initiative was part of the ongoing efforts to enhance safety and preparedness within the community, said a statement today.

The training, aimed to provide practical and theoretical fire safety knowledge to participants, was divided into two sessions: morning session, led by Bomba Padungan head Tan Min Chai; and afternoon session, led by Bomba Padungan second senior officer Muhd Nurfaiz Abdullah.

During the hands-on training, Muhd Nurfaiz demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers and other emergency response techniques, ensuring participants gained the necessary skills to protect themselves and their properties in the event of a fire.

Additionally, the training reinforced the importance of preparedness and swift action in emergency situations.

Among those present were Icom Joint Management Body One chairman Dato Patrick Liew and staff of Icom Square.
