Jejak Harmoni Fun Ride in Miri gathers 150 cyclists

Cyclists get ready for flag-off at the starting line in front of Some Shak Lung Kung Temple.

MIRI (Aug 3): A total of 150 cyclists took part in the Jejak Harmoni Fun Ride cycling event this morning, starting their route at Some Shak Lung Kung Temple near Jee Foh Road here.

Organised by the National Unity Ministry through the Department of National Unity and National Integration (JPNIN) Sarawak, the programme’s key objective was to strengthen the relationship and nurture great harmony between members of the multi-racial and multi-religious local communities.

The cyclists were flagged off by the ministry’s senior undersecretary (management) Norihan Mohamed Naim, who represented the minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.

Among the activities that were also held were harmony documentaries and visits to houses of worship for the purpose of inviting the nation’s multi-religious communities here to learn about one another’s religion; thus, instilling a spirit of harmony.

Also present was JPNIN Sarawak director Dirwana Azool.
