KUCHING, Sept. 18: Health problems did not prevent the three owners of vehicles from completing their ownership swap when Sarawak's Road Transport Department (JPJ) brought fingerprint verification services directly to their homes yesterday.

Deputy of the Vehicle Licensing Division of JPJ Sarawak, Mohamad Faizillah Bahro along with Ahmad Syafiq Ahmad Tajiddin attended the residence of three vehicle owners for fingerprint verification affairs for the purpose of exchanging vehicle property rights.

According to a statement by JPJ Sarawak, the service was provided following an application of registered owners who could not attend the JPJ counter due to ill health conditions.

"The measure allows for matters relating to the vehicle to be resolved without requiring the owner to appear in person at JPJ's office.

"JPJ Sarawak announced the approach reflects the department's commitment to ensure public services are accessible to all sections of society, including those facing health barriers", the statement said.

JPJ Sarawak also stressed the continuous efforts to provide easy, friendly, integrated and caring services to the community.

The approach is also expected to help facilitate people's affairs, especially those who need attention and assistance in obtaining government services. - TVS
