BINTULU, Oct. 2: A truck burned 100% in the cabin section of an incident at Simpang Samarakan, Pan Borneo Road Bintulu-Tatau, early this morning.
According to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Service (JBPM) Sarawak's Operations Movement Centre (PGO), it received a call about the incident at 6.33 am, before the team from BBP Bintulu arrived on site at 6.57 am.
"Operation Commander, PBK I Mazlan Tanin, confirmed the fire involved a truck that was completely destroyed on the head or cab.
"The Operations Output Team (PKO) is conducting the shutdown work using an auxiliary starting channel (hose reel) with a water source from the machine", the statement said.
The fire was brought under control at 7:15 a.m., while operations were fully shut down by 7:43 a.m. after the situation on site was confirmed to be safe.
No casualties were reported involved in the incident.
The operation involved 10 members of BBP Bintulu, an FRT machine and an EMRS-TVS.
