KAPIT (Aug 2): A delegation from the Sarawak State Veterans Armed Forces Association (PVATM) Kapit branch, led by its chairman Martin Bilun, recently visited members who were physically handicapped due to old age or illness.
Among those who received visits were Lulut Aloh, 101, Mamat Baring, 93, and Berendam Munggu.
Martin revealed that the intention behind the visit was to invite the members to celebrate Warriors’ Day today at Kapit Town Square from 8am to 1pm.
He added that the highlight of the celebration is a parade from Meligai Hotel to Town Square, where the main festivities will be held.
