Kuching Car Free Morning (KCFM) will resume in Padang Merdeka on October 4 after a brief break following the stormy weather.
Previous postponements were made to ensure public health and safety, especially during outdoor activities.
According to a statement by North Kuching City Council (DBKU), the reorganization of KCFM opens up opportunities for city residents to enjoy leisure activities again, practice an active lifestyle and spend quality time with family and friends.
"The programme also promotes physical health and mental well-being, as well as strengthening community connections and revitalizing the urban environment.
"Among the exciting activities that will take place this week are Merdeka Spirit Run 2026, Aerodance and Fun Run Healthy Wealthy Mind 2.0", the statement said.
The public is invited to attend KCFM and use the public space for relaxation in a vehicle-free atmosphere.
The promotion of KCFM is expected to continue promoting healthy lifestyle practices, strengthening community ties and creating a more active and vibrant weekend atmosphere among the townspeople. -TVS
