Kolej Laila Taib students make educational trip to project site at Pulau Li Hua

SIBU (Aug 14): A team comprising 35 students and six teachers from Kolej Laila Taib (KLT) conducted an educational visit to The Breez at Pulau Li Hua recently.

KLT, in a statement, said the objectives of the two-hour visit to the project site were to expose the students to building materials and construction technology of buildings.

“After arriving at the site, we were given a short briefing on the project by the project manager.

“We were also showed around and visited two different types of showrooms,” it said.

According to the project manager, the implementation of industrialised building system (IBS) has changed the nature of activities, which are different from traditional construction.

The Breez offers a whole range of benefits run, such as better productivity, quality and safety.

During the visit, the students learned about some major building finishes and construction methods, said KLT.

“This site visit is beneficial to all students and it provided them with practical insights into construction practices and materials, complementing the students’ theoretical knowledge.”
