KUCHING (Aug 6): Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap recently visited the Faith Methodist Church at Jalan Hup Kee to conduct a final inspection and handing over ceremony.
He was accompanied by Kuching South City Council (MBKS) officers.
According to a recent statement, this visit followed the completion of construction works for additional car parks in front of the church as informed by the contractor to MBKS.
The project, which was funded under Yap’s rural transformation programme (RTP) allocation, costed RM100,000.
“The 31 additional carparks were constructed as the existing carparks at the church were insufficient to cater to the growing congregation,” read the statement.
During the visit, Yap expressed his gratitude to MBKS for their diligent monitoring and supervision and the contractor for completing the project two months ahead of schedule with minimal inconvenience or disruption to churchgoers and local residents.
Yap also reaffirmed his commitment to implement more people-centric RTP projects to upgrade various facilities and infrastructure within his constituency.
