BINTULU (Oct 8): Members of the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) cavalcade convoy and media were treated to an appreciation dinner hosted by Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd on Sunday night.
The event, aptly named ‘Le Diner de Bintulu Port’, celebrated the successful conclusion of the nation-wide event in Bintulu.
Among those present at the dinner held at Kidurong Club were Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd’s chief operating officer Matshalleh Mohamad Etli, National Sports Council director general Abdul Rashid Yaakub, Cavalcade department head Mike Tong, organising chairperson Maslihah Tioh and Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief assistant director Supt Mohd Yatim Osman.
In his welcoming speech, Matshalleh welcomed the LTdL cavalcade convoy and media partners to Bintulu and congratulated them for their hard work and significant role in making LTdL 2024 a success.
“The LTdL cavalcade convoy, consisting of 22 cars, embarked on their journey on Sept 29, traversing 11 states across Malaysia. The race, which lasted a week, concluded safely in Bintulu.
“Bintulu Port was honored to be invited as a sponsor for the LTdL 2024 for the first time,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tong, representing the cavalcade convoy, thanked the Bintulu Port for the “exceptional” hospitality.
“We also extend our thanks to the police for ensuring our safe journey from Langkawi to Bintulu,” he added.
