KUCHING: Lodge International School is celebrating a significant improvement in its Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) results for November 2023, showcasing outstanding performances across various subjects.
In a press release, the school announced that this year’s cohort demonstrated exceptional excellence, with two students achieving the remarkable feat of scoring As in all subjects, deserving hearty congratulations.
“Further contributing to the success, a commendable total of 11 students attained straight A and A* grades, reflecting the high standards maintained at our school.
“An especially noteworthy aspect of this achievement is the robust performance in individual subjects.
Out of 448 papers examined, an impressive 58.7 per cent secured the top grade of A or A. “Moreover, an outstanding 35 students, comprising 57.4 per cent of the cohort, excelled by achieving a minimum of 5 subjects with A or A grades.”
Lodge highlighted the remarkable improvement in the percentage of A and A* grades in specific subjects, noting the school’s commitment to excellence.
“Subjects such as ICT (85.7 per cent), Biology (81.4 per cent), Physics (77.8 per cent), Additional Mathematics (67.9 per cent), Literature in English (62.5 per cent), First Language English (62.5 per cent), Chemistry (61.5 per cent), Mathematics (59.0 per cent), History (50.0 per cent), and Economics (43.8 per cent) have all witnessed significant advancements, reflecting the hard work and commitment of both students and educators.
