Luxury cars seized, LKM and insurance expired.

KUCHING, 21 Sept: A luxury vehicle seized by the Sarawak Department of Road Transport (JPJ) after being found on the road without a Motor Vehicle License (LKM) and legal insurance coverage.

The action was carried out by JPJ Kuching Operations Unit through Luxury Ops and monitoring around Kuching City.

JPJ Sarawak in a statement announced that enforcement actions including vehicle seizures were taken in accordance with the provisions of the law in force.

"JPJ Sarawak advises all vehicle owners and users to ensure that LKM and insurance coverage are always valid and in force before using vehicles on the road.

"JPJ Sarawak will continue to enhance patrol, monitoring and enforcement activities to ensure road users comply with established laws and regulations", according to the statement.

JPJ Sarawak also recalled that compliance with the rules is not only a legal responsibility, but it is important to ensure the safety of all road users.
