Man escapes with minor injuries after car skids off road near Saratok junction

KUCHING (Aug 2): A man suffered scratches to his forehead after the car he was driving skidded and landed by the roadside near Saratok junction around 9am today.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the two passengers in the car, a man and a woman, did not sustain physical injuries.

“All three victims managed to exit the car prior to the arrival of rescuers from the Saratok station,” Bomba said in a statement.

At the scene, the victims were checked and the driver was given first aid by Bomba’s Emergency Medical Rescue Services unit.

After ensuring that the area was safe for other road users, Bomba wrapped up the operation at 9.23am.

It is understood that the victims refused to be transported to hospital.
