PADAWAN: A local man succumbed to his injuries following a two-vehicle collision at Jalan Matang yesterday (July 17).
Padawan OCPD Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said that the accident, involving a motorcycle and a Perodua Bezza, happened around 11 pm near a shopping mall.
“The victim, a 33-year-old motorcyclist, sustained head and hand injuries.
“He was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH),” he said when contacted.
As for the Bezza driver, he managed to escape unscathed in the fatal accident.
Mohd Irwan stated that the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
It was reported that the deceased was identified as Mohammad Sufian Osman from Kampung Sourabaya Ulu, Petra Jaya.
