KUCHING (July 16): Maxim E-hailing (Maxim) recently took part in three cultural programmes in Bintulu in connection with the Gawai Dayak festive celebrations.
In a press release, the e-hailing company said its participation was part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
One of the events was the Kumang Gawai programme, which saw the Maxim team from Bintulu provide financial support for the beauty pageant, held in connection with the Gawai Dayak Open House at Dinner World Restaurant in Bintulu.
Maxim Bintulu also provided essential support to the organiser of the Ngiling Bidai ceremony, which marked the closing of Gawai Dayak festivities, focusing on music festivals, competitions, Dayak cuisines, and performance.
“It was wonderful to see the Dayak communities from across Sarawak as well as participants from Peninsular Malaysia and tourists joining the event.
“It provided a fantastic opportunity for us to show our support for local events and connect with a diverse group of attendees,” said Maxim Bintulu head Leonardo Kai Hii.
The Maxim team also participated in the Bintulu Youth Exhibition 2.0 which aimed to spread awareness about the importance of having a good economy and financial growth.
Maxim Bintulu provided job opportunities to visitors who were interested in joining the company, generating income as partner-drivers.
Maxim said it looks forward to more potential collaborations with organisers of local events which could set as a great example for the company’s units in other cities.
