Ministry of Communications make sure the Malaysia Day celebrations are going well

KUCHING, 14 September: Ministry of Communications is proactively moving to ensure that the National Level Malaysia Day Connection 2026 held here on Wednesday, runs smoothly.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said that although there were some challenges ahead of the event, including regarding audio systems, he took immediate action to ensure all preparations are at their best.

"Last night, the Chief Secretary (Ministry) announced there were issues involving audio, so we will look more closely to ensure that we can give a good performance on September 16th", he said.

He was met by the media at the 2026 National Level Malaysia Day Welcome Raptai Session at Borneo Kuching Convention Centre (BCCK), today.

In addition, he has also asked the Communications and Multimedia Commission (CMC) to ensure that all requirements of media practitioners for performing their duties throughout the event are complete and fulfilled especially involving high-speed internet access.

"MCMC has announced so far that all equipment to be installed by the telecommunications company is ready and functioning well", he said.

The National Level Malaysia Day 2026 celebration was held indoors this year in BCCK following the dust that hit the entire state.
