MIRI (July 30): The Miri Hospital Phlebotomy Unit (blood draw room) will move and begin operations at a new location on Monday (Aug 5).

The unit will move to the Adult Day Care Centre at Medan Block.

“The operation hours of the Phlebotomy Unit are 7am to 12.30pm, 1.45pm to 4pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and on Fridays, it will operate from 7am to 11.30pm and 2pm to 4pm. It is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays,” the hospital said in a statement.

The statement pointed out there is no seating outside the Phlebotomy Unit so patients who need to have their blood drawn should not arrive too early as the entrance will only open at 7am.

The drop off point leading to the Phlebotomy Unit is at the lobby of Block A and Block B and Bus Stop.

The hospital also reminded carers of patients with limited mobility or special needs to drop them off at a safe location where they can enter using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
