The car is fully engulfed in flames.
SIBU (July 21): A car was totally destroyed after it caught fire at Jalan Lanang here this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement said 10 firefighters from the Sibu Central fire station were deployed to the scene after being notified about the incident at 7.28am.
“When the firefighters arrived, the operation commander reported that the fire involved a car, which was already fully destroyed.
“The incident did not involve any victims or injuries,” the statement added.
It said the firefighters proceeded to extinguish and ended the operation after ensuring that there were no remnants of fire were left at the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
