Motorcyclist killed in accident in Kuching

KUCHING (Aug 8): A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident at Jalan Tun Razak here around 12.50pm today.

The deceased, identified as Awang Muhammad Rosdy Awang Afandy from Bandar Baru Samariang here based on the personal documents found on him, was pronounced dead by paramedics from the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) at the scene.

The deceased is believed to have crashed his motorcycle into roadside signboard, causing him to hit his head on a metal post.

However, the exact circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear.

His body was later transported by the police to SGH’s forensics department for further action.
