SIBU (Sept 1): There is no favoritism in the development agenda for Julau constituency, said its MP Datuk Larry Sng.
He said both the urban and rural development in Julau are always given equal attention with development grants distributed fairly and equally.
“For example, in Julau, if our party is given RM4 million, it will be divided equally between the two state constituencies that are in Julau, namely Pakan and Meluan.
“Equally and the focus of the allocation is for the purpose of developing the area and community in the two constituencies,” he said at a meet-the-people session at Rumah Liman in Munggu Temedak on Friday.
Sng assured that he would not differentiate between the people when it comes to the distribution of the funds.
“Everyone will get a fair share of the development funds regardless of their different political ideologies,” he said, adding that this was because they are all Julau citizens and it is his responsibility to bring development to Julau
Sng, who is also Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB) chairman, also said that he had been raising many issues on Julau at every Parliamentary sitting.
“All the problems, big or small issues and the requests from the people are always given attention to be resolved,” he said.
Regarding the construction of the Fire and Rescue (Bomba) station in Julau, Sng said Bomba is currently waiting for an approval from the Sarawak government on the land and project site.
