Mukah Kaul Fest: Sibu D’Tari champs in Melanau traditional dance competition

MUKAH (July 18): Sibu D’Tari emerged as champion in the Melanau traditional dance competition held here in conjunction with the Mukah Kaul Festival 2024.

The team, representing Sibu Melanau Association, received RM5,000 and a trophy as prizes.

In second place was Sangar Tari LD representing Mukah Melanau Association who won RM4,000, followed by Sri Ritma Borneo in third who received RM3,000.

Both Sibu D’Tari and Sangar Tari LD received another RM1,000 each for winning the best choreography and best costume categories, respectively.

Four teams competed in the competition, organised for the first time by the Kuching Melanau Association.
