New comforts for health clinic

MIRI: In an effort to enhance patient and staff comfort at the Merbau Health Clinic, Miri MP Chiew Choon Man donated five standing fans and 100 chairs on Friday.

“This donation is part of our efforts to boost comfort and convenience at the clinic for both patients and healthcare staff.

“I hope that with these fans and chairs, patients at Jalan Merbau Miri Health Clinic will have a more comfortable wait for their treatment. We also hope the clinic will utilise these facilities to enhance the quality of healthcare services for the local community,” he said after the handover ceremony at the clinic.

During his visit, Chiew also reviewed the clinic’s patient queue number system, which had been malfunctioning.

“This has been a previous complaint from the community. I have noted this issue and will continue to work with the Department of Health Miri to resolve it,” he added.
