Wong (seated centre) and organising committee invites the public to join its charity gala dinner this October.

MIRI (July 26): Palliative Care Association of Miri (PCAM) will be organising a charity gala dinner in conjunction with its 19th anniversary celebration this October.

Themed ‘Celebrating Lives, Honouring Journeys’, the event is set to take place at the Imperial Hotel here at 6.30pm on October 5.

It aims to raise funds for the construction of a new palliative care centre here, as well as to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for the palliative patients and their families, said the event’s organising chairman Richard Wong in a statement.

The gala dinner will feature live performances by Miri-born Malaysian singer Clinton Jerome Chua, Ta’Dan band and Unity Dance academy, whereby attendees will also stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with our community and supporters, whereby all proceeds will go towards building the new palliative care centre,” said PCAM president Dr Doris Jong.

Tickets for the charity gala dinner are now available. For more information or for ticket purchases, contact Carol on 011-6469-7491 or Lau Pui Peck on 019-8052933.
