PBB Youth Wing urged to enhance party knowledge through workshops

SIBU: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Assistant Secretary-General Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali has called on the PBB Youth Wing to organise more programmes to deepen its members’ understanding of the party.

She said that the members of the soon-to-be-launched PBB Youth Wing are still new and have not yet been fully exposed to the party.

“If possible, conduct workshops or roadshows in each PBB division so that your members can get to know our party in more depth,” she said during her talk on the PBB Constitution in conjunction with the PBB Youth Wing launching ceremony at a hotel here today (Oct 6).

Sharifah, who is also the PBB Women Vice Chief, added that it is important for party members to understand what the party stands for.

“We never know what will happen in the future; maybe one of you here will be the PBB President one day.

“So, while you are still part of the pro-tem committee, these (workshops and roadshows) will prepare our PBB youth for when you are officially recognised later,” she added.

Sharifah emphasised that every member plays a significant role in the party, especially at the grassroots level.

“If you look at the pyramids in Egypt, they have been able to sustain and maintain themselves for thousands of years simply because their base is strong.

“The same goes for the party—if our grassroots support is strong, our party’s supreme council will remain strong and stable,” she said.
