MIRI (Sept 20): A dog’s relentless barking led to its rescue after being discovered trapped in a drain along Jalan Lutong-Kuala Baram on Thursday.
Lutong Fire and Rescue (Bomba) station chief senior officer II Henry Jugah said they received an emergency call at 12.27pm before dispatching a team of five firefighters to the scene.
“At the scene, the men found that the dog had fallen into the drain and was unable to climb out,” he said in a statement.
After assessing the situation, the firefighters worked quickly to rescue the dog, before wrapping up the operation at 12.49pm.
