PESUMA delegates call on Federal Court chief registrar

SIBU: The organisation of Malaysian oath commissioners called Pertubuhan Persuruhjaya Sumpah Malaysia (PESUMA) delegates represented by its Supreme Committee has held a courtesy and working visit to the Chief Registrar of Federal Court and Commissioner of Oaths Unit (UPJS) at Palace of Justice, Putrajaya and Legal Affairs Division, Prime Minister’s Department (BHEUU) recently.

Chief Coordinator of Commissioner for Oaths (CFOs) for Sarawak, Melinda Wong Kwong Hung said apart from discussing the issues regarding daily practices of commissioner for oaths, PESUMA took the opportunity to congratulate both newly appointed Chief Registrar of Federal Court, Zamri Bakar and Salamiah Salleh as the head of UPJS.

“Glad to note feedback from Chief Registrar that issues and proposals passed during PESUMA convention last year had already been forwarded to the Chief Justice of Malaysia who will issue new practice instructions for related issues.

“UPJS had also noted issues raised and will examine every issue before giving solution feedback. In addition, UPJS recommended PESUMA as medium for members to forward any issue as well as medium to reach the feedback of issues to members,” she said in a statement on Friday.

Besides, she said during the courtesy and working visit to BHEUU at Putrajaya on the same day, PESUMA also took the opportunity to thank BHEUU regarding the amendment of new fee for statutory declaration and exhibit with effect from Jan 16 last year and congratulated Zamri Misman as the newly appointed director-general of BHEUU.

Wong added that PESUMA also offered to share the experiences and information of members and to get involved especially in formation or amendment of any related laws.
