Premier gets pat for leading Sarawak towards developed state status

KUCHING: Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri commended the efforts of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, in leading Sarawak towards developed state status.

According to Nancy, through political stability based on a united society, the people of Sarawak can enjoy various initiatives and assistance for a more comfortable life and a more assured socio-economic future.

“The Premier has introduced various initiatives, including green technology development and sustainable development, which are the main pillars in the digital economy, renewable energy, Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE), smart city initiatives, green hydrogen and forest conservation.

“These initiatives reflect Abang Johari’s commitment to developing Sarawak sustainably by leveraging green technology and innovation,” she said in a statement through her official Facebook page on Sunday.

Nancy also said that the people of Sarawak are very fortunate to have a leader committed to prioritising rapid development in rural areas, in line with the direction of the digital economy.

She also extended her congratulations on the 74th birthday of Abang Johari this year.

“Happy 74th birthday to the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

“I pray that YAB Datuk Patinggi continues to be blessed with good health and longevity to continue leading Sarawak towards greater excellence,” said Nancy.
