KUCHING, July 6: More than just a mobile application, MySeDidik has evolved into a comprehensive digital ecosystem that is reshaping early childhood education management in Sarawak.
According to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, the application is currently used by 2,743 students, 6,059 parents, and 471 SeDidik staff, demonstrating its effectiveness in strengthening preschool education management.
He added that as of April 30 this year, the entire 2026 Preschool Curriculum had been fully digitised across all 107 SeDidik centres throughout Sarawak.
“Every day, users rely on MySeDidik to enhance teaching and learning, communication and education management, proving that digital transformation is no longer merely an aspiration but has become a reality,” he said in his speech which was delivered by the Minister for Women, Early Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, at the launch of the MySeDidik application here today, as reported by TVS.
Through a single integrated platform, MySeDidik enables teachers to manage teaching and learning activities, student attendance, assessments, communication with parents and administrative tasks more efficiently.
At the same time, parents can monitor their children’s progress more closely, strengthening collaboration between educators and families to ensure the optimal development of every child.
Abang Johari said the launch of MySeDidik also demonstrates how the aspirations of the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030) are being translated into initiatives that have a direct impact on the people.
According to him, the application supports four key pillars of PCDS 2030—human capital development, digital transformation, inclusivity, and environmental sustainability.
“Quality early childhood education forms the foundation of human capital development, while MySeDidik accelerates digital transformation by empowering teachers, parents and administrators across all 107 SeDidik centres to embrace digital literacy and modern education management,” he said.
On inclusivity, he said technology is being used to bridge gaps in access to education, ensuring more children receive quality early childhood education regardless of their location or background.
He added that this commitment is also reflected through the implementation of SeDidik’s Open Door Policy at all 107 SeDidik centres as of June this year, under which every child is accepted regardless of background or ability.
Of the total, 61 SeDidik centres currently serve 205 children with special needs through the Inclusive Education Programme alongside their peers at SeDidik childcare centres and kindergartens. — DayakDaily
