Premier’s Office: Sarawak govt will comment on Affin Bank, Petros only when solutions arise

KUCHING (Nov 2): The Sarawak government will offer comments only when there are definite solutions for arising issues concerning Affin Bank and Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) as the gas aggregator, said the Premier’s Office.

“Comments are always made cautiously in response to media queries in order to reflect the real and true stand of the Sarawak government,” the Premier’s Office said in a statement posted on Facebook today.

The statement was issued in response to the recent comments and opinion columns in news portals which questioned the state government’s readiness to comment on some current issues affecting the state.

“In this regard, the Premier of Sarawak’s Office wishes to clarify that the Sarawak government would only issue comments when there are definitive situations arising out of such issues as in the case of Affin Bank and Petros as the gas aggregator, which is within the ambit of Sarawak’s law,” it said.
