BANGI, Oct 13: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim urged the community to continue providing assistance to the Palestinian people according to their ability, despite the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Prime Minister said that every contribution and energy given could bring meaning to the Palestinian people facing prolonged suffering, especially in Gaza.
He believes that efforts to help them do not have to be large-scale, but rather that every initiative carried out with integrity remains valuable.
"I urge my colleagues to keep working and do their best to give a little contribution, service and energy to help.
"It's awful when we say that we can't do anything because we're busy with our own world. So take the necessary steps", he said.
He said this while addressing the Sumud Nusantara Dinner Meeting for the 2026 Global Sumud Congress, here today.
Following were the Chief Minister of Selangor, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, Minister of Communications, Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Minister in the Department of Prime Minister (Religious Affairs), Dr Zulkifli Hasan and Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr Mohamed Taufiq Johari.
Anwar said support for the Palestinian people's struggle should be continued through various forms of efforts, including supporting the humanitarian mission of the Sumud Flotilla which faces its own risks and challenges.
"I know the risks and the problems, but what is this problem compared to the suffering of children who scream expecting the world to hear, but the world is deaf", he said.
The Prime Minister added that the suffering suffered by Palestinian people, including children, is a natural incentive for the international community to continue to pay attention and play their respective roles.
Meanwhile, Anwar reaffirmed the Government's commitment to continue supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people, which was also confirmed through the participation of a line of national leaders in the effort. - TVS
